Renewal of Vows
The most common reason to reaffirm the marriage is usually on the occasion of an anniversary.
Reaffirmation or renewal of vows ceremonies are also suitable for married couples, who, after separation, are reunited.
Some also feel the need for such a ceremony when their original wedding ceremony, for one reason or another, was meaningless to them (they may have been too young, had no say in the ceremony, or cannot remember any of it).
These ceremonies are arranged exactly the same as marriage ceremonies. There is one difference, however, which is extremely important. Each introduction must be unique.
It is best for the couple to spend an hour or two with the celebrant discussing the ceremony and why they wish to have it.
The couple or the celebrant should then write the introduction so that it expresses their views and feelings accurately. If this is not done, the ceremony may not be successful. I also advise writing personal renewal of vows.
